Call for Abstracts

Requirements for abstracts (both oral and poster)
  • Language: English;
  • Format: Microsoft Office Word document;
  • Size: Maximum of 500 words (A4 format);
  • Structure: Title, first name(s), family name(s), institution, introduction, methods, results and discussion, list of references, data about the author;
  • Requirements for the text preparation:
    • Text font: Arial;
    • Margins: Top and Bottom - 20 mm, Left - 35 mm, Right - 15 mm;
    • Title of paper: 14 pt, Bold;
    • Author´s first name and family name: 12 pt, Bold;
    • Title of Institution: 10 pt, Italic;
    • Titles of chapters: 10 pt, Bold; Before new chapter´s title: Single space interval;
    • Text: 10 pt, Normal, Line spacing: Single;
    • Title of the List of References: 8 pt, Bold; The text: 8pt, Normal.
    • Title of paper, author´s first name and family name, institution, titles of chapters should be aligned to the left.

Data about the author: First name and family name: 9 pt, Bold, academic degree and title, institution, telephone and fax numbers, post and e-mail addresses and other important data at author's discretion: 9 pt, Normal.

The abstracts of oral and poster presentations have to be sent via e-mail:   before the 22th of March, 2010. Please title the e-mail as "Oral abstract_title" or "Poster abstract_title". The accepted abstracts will be printed in a booklet for distribution to the conference participants. 

Requirements for presentations

Poster presentations

Poster session is a valuable method for authors to present their papers and meet with interested attendees. Therefore it is important to display your results clearly to attract people who have an interest in your work. The poster should be clear, simple, and attractive and should give a brief overview of your work.

Requirements for posters:

  • Language: English.
  • The posters are required to conform to portrait orientation.
  • The title of your poster should appear at the top in CAPITAL letters.
  • Below the title -author(s) name(s), affiliation(s); a brief introduction, methods, results and conclusions.
  • Use bullet points to simplify sections like the introduction and conclusions.
  • Use not smaller than 24 point type for the text (must be legible from a distance of approximately two metres).
  • Use graphs and figures whenever possible. Make your poster visually pleasing and attractive.
  • The poster format will be A1 format (60 cm wide and 85 cm tall).
  • Use heavy paper (if possible, laminate your poster).
  • Design the poster to convey a clear message.

Authors of the posters are expected to present their work during the poster session on the second day.

Installing posters in the conference hall takes place on the morning of 28th of May 2010.

Oral presentations

In the plenary room and in the symposium rooms a video projector and computer will be available for the speakers.

Your presentation should be created in Microsoft PowerPoint and brought on a USB memory stick, DVD or CD (no floppy disk) for uploading. To ensure that the presentation operates correctly, please send your presentation by e-mail by the 27th of May 2010.

The presentations will be in English. The organisers ask speaker to speak clearly, slowly and in a loud voice that all participants could understand your talk. Plenary speakers will be provided with the microphones and all plenary speeches (+ discussions) will be recorded in order to facilitate further work with conference report.

Articles

Selected articles will be published in the conference proceedings. The articles should be prepared in the English language.
