Organisers

Conference is organized jointly by the Ministry of the Environment, Environmental Board and Estonian University of Life Sciences.

The Ministry of the Environment is a government authority that performs the duties, required by the law, and the functions, assigned by the Government of the Republic pursuant to the law, within its area of government. The activities of the Ministry of the Environment focus on the balanced development of the economy, social sphere, utilisation of natural resources and environmental protection as well as ensuring of a system necessary for the functioning thereof and a purposeful and well-considered use of the resources allocated to environmental protection.

Environmental Board is an institution under the Ministry of the Environment that exercises state authority and state supervision and applies enforcement powers of state pursuant to and in the scope prescribed by the law. The Board’s area of activity includes the implementation of policies, programmes and activity plans of the state’s environmental preservation and nature conservation, radiation safety and utilisation of natural resources.

Estonian University of Life Sciences is a the only university  in Estonia whose priorities in academic and research activities provide the sustainable development  of natural resources necessary for the existence of Man as well as the preservation of heritage and habitat.
